Here is a little background on how Mary got involved in quilting. After moving to Fennville from Holland in 1998, Mary ordered a quilt pattern from a mail-order business and began making her first quilt. That led to making another and another and another, until Mary decided it was time to sell some of those quilts. After working out of a 24 foot trailer and going to craft and art shows for a couple of years, Mary and her husband, Kurt, decided it was time to open a quilt shop. Mary quit her job at Johnson Controls after 20 years to dedicate herself full time to the quilt shop. In 2007, we sold our house and built the new quilt shop & house on the corner of our property. |
